The Enerva Scrolls

The Enerva Scrolls is a fantasy thriller featuring reptilians and humans in a secondary-world setting inspired by ancient Egypt and Tibet.

For a thousand years, in the desert nation of Khemet, reptilians have been ruled by the Queen Mother, Ohtep, an enigmatic and powerful sorcerer-goddess.

Rashidi Sahruk is a young reptilian and aspiring wizard. After the massacre of her family, she must flee into hostile territory. While struggling to survive, she seeks magic and plans revenge, but an Angel hunts her. Caught between her desires for vengeance and survival, she must decide whether to walk away before the Sahruk family line ends forever.

Bastet, indoctrinated to obey every command of Ohtep, has been the perfect Angel. Pursuing the only survivor of the Sahruk family massacre with orders to kill, she must confront both the hostile desert and determined prey. When the last Sahruk leaves her for dead, she must decide whether to leave behind her old life—the only life she has ever known—or commit to it at the cost of her honor.

In the mountains of Tangula, humans live a simple life, but Ugyen dreams of adventure. When his grandfather Yeshi, the last golemancer, comes calling, Ugyen leaves behind his ordinary world. When their journey turns deadly, he must decide whether to return home or complete the mission to destroy an ancient scroll—and save the world.

Followers of Enerva, the first necromancer, seek the scrolls that hold the key to her resurrection.

These events will determine the outcome of a thousand-year-old war in The Enerva Scrolls.
